Dude, trust me. Even when they are "joking" about things like a ring, and giving you a hard time...

THEY ARE DEAD SERIOUS!!!

;)

LOL! Not always! ;)
I often joke about this with my boyfriend but there is no WAY I EVER want to get married! :D LOL
The guys FANTASTIC don't get me wrong... I just have deeply rooted personal reasons to dislike the idea of marriage itself thats all! :)
(I'm freeeeee like the wind and I will never be owned by someone!)

I am pretty fish addict though and I sometimes worry I might talk about my passion a tad bit too much... wait .. passsion... ok obsession LOL! :nilly:

I actually told him if he wanted me to move in woth him that the fish (and futur aquariums and fish) had to follow lol! ^^ :headbang2

He does not mind, and actually sometimes spends a few minutes playing with my betta or watching my amano shrimps! ;) I don't think he will get passionate as me, but he does love animals so thats a plus!

Actually having seen my aquarium made him think abour his old 10g he used to own... :D Now he is thinking of getting it started again! He misses his old zebras and would like to get some more.... sooooooo who knows!!! ;)

I am a women..and being i am a women i think that your girlfriend should be told up front that this has now become your hobby that you enjoy.. and being you are still single i think you have every right to enjoy a few benefits from your own money.. as she would do from hers... just try to be fair and supportive in things she may like also.. if you let this girl dictate what you spend your money on now just think of the control she will have later when or if you both marry.. things should be fair between a couple.. and if you get this much enjoyment out of fishkeeping then i think it ranks priority status in your life.
You are e real gem Liz!;)
For me I just remind her that my fish are not in my will or the sole recipient of my super annuation fund, life insurance and every thing I own.I find it gives her a better perspective of who I truely hold important in my life.:D
