Now that I replaced the wet side and it's working the other pump has quit. So 3 wet sides in one year at $60 a pop. I think I will just invest in another vortech which has provided me with over 3 years of trouble free operation. Maybe more expensive but beats replacing wet sides every few months! You get what you pay for I guess so I will stick with vortech.
FYI, Jebao wavemakes don't go good in stingray tanks as they can't be in a fixed position and the rays keep grabbing them and either rip them off or move them so they point in a different direction. I have already woke up to one pointing straight down and cleared the glass below of substrate. I would hate to wakeup to one pointing up and shooting water out of the tank or making a mess of some sort.
Maybe 2 times a year my vortech gets pulled off and that's just from aggressive breeding behaviour in the tank. Simple fix, falls off, reattach. No water anywhere!!
