Cool Jason - How is the ride? I wonder if it's smooth and comfortable like the Cherokee?

So back to the original post.... When are you going to get your Cherokee? :)

that thing seems to just glide, but i think its 2wheel drive,so was my dads 2001 cherokee and i want to say this is smoother,il have to ride in them again,my dad passed 4 years ago so i cant drive that one:(but the h3 seems realy smooth too.that comander though, you punch it and its like walkin on water, they realy talk of riding it though because the gas is truly awfull, they can afford it but who knows.

Hey Jason
I'd LOVE to hear your (or your mom/sis) compare the H3 and the Commander.

My uncle has a pimped out H3 that he takes on trails all the time. He's a member of a local Humvee club and they go offroading all over the state.

Cherokee's are nice, I've had one. But if you want basically the same vehicle with more power get a ZJ Grand Cherokee with a 318 or 360 V8. I love mine and it's a great off roading vehicle. I've done some pretty crazy stuff with it and it keeps on going. Plus, the gas milage isn't much differnt from the 4.0L inline six.

Fords are great trucks! you may hear about them. Cause there is alot more of them out there. And for off roading. Buy a toyota! Me and my friends go out all the time. And i kill there jeeps with my toyota!. always pulling them out. And they cant ever follow me! silly boys jeeps are for girls!!! lol jk

Wow, I'm just the opposite: I've pulled out a 4Runner, Rodeo and Pathfinder before. :D

Toyotas are built pretty tough, strong axles, 6 lug usually/cheap to lift/etc .. nice off roading trucks.

I have a 4.0 grand cherokee.. nice truck, comfy on the highway, only thing I hate is the axles/infamous auto tranny that wants to give and it costing so much to lift it a considerable amount..

if you can get the dollar bills get a jeep with the diesel my momma got one and its wonder full i can smoke the tires with out even spining up the turbo.

Blah-Blah-Blah
HUMMERS are STUPID!! dont matter what it is H1 H2 H3 all junk...
Unless you plan to off-road in a field or on a dirt road, There to big and heavy for anything hardcore. Off-roading has nothing to do with power, more power means more repair bills when you break. Get a "Rubi" and go with 4.56:1 gears, 4.88:1 if you like to play on the rocks.
I have a 1991 Cherokee with a 6" lift and 35" tires, stock motor and trans. with an "atlas transfer case" and dana 60's front and rear, has never been stuck or broke on the trails.
