I bet even in this group they will still be a little rare. Unfortunatly there probably will be some losses after shipping. Not from packaging but possible mishandling during transit, excessive strees, tankmates not accepting the newbies, etc. I just hope that isnt me lol. Cuz I do have one Orino that may not take having 2 new cichla in his tank very lightly.

you buy a fish only because its worth money? and i only payed 100 so not like it will be a big loss.. im glad to be getting this fish because their colors are brilliant and everyone likes to HOARD them not because i can make a dollar off them. they will still be rare, quite a few will die off and the rest will slowly vanish, just like the azuls. there was alot imported to the u.s. a few years back and look now no body can get an azul them( well almost nobody
)... same thing with kelberi... i know a few memebers that have/ had quite a few... i know a member that has about 15+ and this was before rapps imported them and hes not the only one that has or had them... where are they all know? if jeff rapps is smart then he wont import anymore but who knows. i would also like to know how many he imported. i wonder what riverwonders is thinking right now also

in a way hopefully .... make sure everything is up to pare before you put your kelberi in you tank so that your not doing 60 percent water changes later and then everyone wonders why they get die off... small wild cichla can be a little difficult to handle sometimes.. they do not like ph fluctuation
Come on man I hope he gets some more in I missed out. And I am in a State where CIchla dont come in at all anymore since my Guy left the scene. I had a choice to make the CIchla or the 350g. Since I am not in this hobby overnight I needed to gat a mid sized tank the 350g. I don't know what size tanks everyone is housing there Cichla in but if it ain't big anyway you are not going to have any of the cichla you get for too long anyway. But I hope that everyone that got in on the REAL STRANGE sort of fire sale good luck with there new cichla and hope that we can hopefully get a breeding pair out of some of these imports. I have been real turned off by the way things are handled surrounding this hobby it is so wierd to me. But Good luck to all that got hooked up nice pick ups.

....and no i dont buy a fish because its worth money, I buy them because I want it...dont know if that was a personal shot at me or what pete???
I never had kelberi, i did e-mail jeff to get a couple in the beginning but counted my current quanity of lil cichla and there sizes and didnt want 150.00 feeders..
..Im happy for yall who got them, cant wait for pics!!!!!!!!
