fine...flash mob then? we can pay homage to joe pa with movin like bernie!

yeah i was refering to the deleted post (didn't see anything wrong with it myself but i don't have that joe pa ultimate power around here)

Haha, that's some funny stuff there.

Also, I saw that Mike McQueary is now saying that he did tell the police, too, so if that's the case, the police are looking worse and worse while many of the Penn State coaching staff are turning out to have been trying to do the right thing all along.

not only is he saying he told the police but it's finally come out that he did step in and stop the shower incident, not tuck and run like the media has made it out to be

anyone know anybody that idolizes joe pa? i don't. he's a recognizeable sports figure but i doubt many dads are saying son, i want you to grow up to be just like that man! Doesnt make him any less legendary. micheal jordan was a great basketball player just like joe pa is a legendary football coach, doesn't mean mj was a good person. he was a notorious bully, notorious womanizer, notorious gambler etc etc etc. we can do down the list and do this with most sports icons. doesn't make them any less of a legend for what they did on the court, sideline, field, ice etc etc.

most people can seperate the person from the sports icon.

That's the kind of thinking that allowed what took place in the Penn to fester and eventually blow up in their faces. Also, it sends the wrong way message that sports is bigger than the welfare of children. I just assume that you are young and will eventually learn that there are more important things in life. Things that you need to value if you want to rise up in any organization.

Here's something to learn from if willing........

I agree with his comments and I am not young. Age of the poster has nothing to do with this discussion

I don't care much for collage football. I'm lucky if I watch more then 2-3 games a year.

It is true that there are more important things in life. Something else that is more important IS THE TRUTH!

Just cause this upsets you is no excuse to try to hang anyone you see around this issue.

For the thousandth time Joe Patermo did what he could short of getting a gun and blowing Sandusky's head off.

With all this complaining...I want to know why so many people(the fans) supported Michael Jackson. Where is the outrage to the public? Everyone(the public) knew what Michael Jackson was doing. Did YOU call the police on him? Why aren't the fans being held accountable for him and his actions? Sandusky and Michael Jackson are the same person with different faces.

At the risk of getting introuble, paterno couldnt have done anymore but people seem to not be able to grasp that. He alerted his supervisors and the police. He did what he needed.

Are we just letting the others that actually saw this (paterno did not) and did nothing, off?

Iv thought since the beginning they used him as a scape goat to try and prevent him from getting his pension and I stand by that.

To the mod that deleted my earlier post, again will you plz pm me.

I have a "good" story about Paterno...My uncle had a recruiting meeting set up with him and my grandfather drove him up to see Joe. He was late to the meeting and when he finally showed up, he took one look at him, said he was too small and walked out. Great guy.

I believe this was just a way to get him out of there since he would never quit.

Lynch mob? What Lynch mob? This case was under investigation for over a year before any indictments were made!.....and one wrong (michael jackson case) does not justify another. It's not about math and more than just a legal case. However the truth shall prevail and it will. My question is why is the recent Macs (one of the witnesses) tune doesn't seem to be included in the records of the grand jury?

The article assumes that Penn State higher ups and Paterno were aware of the 1998 and 2000 incidents; it also neglects to mention that the 1998 investigation was reported to the police, was investigated, and charges were not filed by the DA (who was not a Penn State fan, by the way). I highly doubt that they knew since the police aren't required to tell them squat and aren't supposed to disclose anything from a pending investigation. However, I will not deny that there is a possibility that it was covered up by higher ups at Penn State if they did indeed learn of the incidents.

Agreed.

Well that sucks.

It wouldn't surprise me if they used Paterno as a scapegoat in order to get rid of him; it's not like shadier stuff has been perpetrated before.

Who knows on some of that stuff; a lot of things still don't really add up.

The change of ownership of Paterno's house does sound suspicious, but then again he's 84 and she's 71, so he probably doesn't expect to be alive much longer and made the transfer now. There are probably other plausible reasons for the switch, too, but I guess we'll have to wait and see what comes of it.

Sorry to hear you're not young. However I have news for you, the truth has many dimensions. It's more than the slim/narrow legal view point. Many here seems to miss that. Again that's the kind of narrow mindedness that Penn State senior administration officials adhered to that got them in the mess they are in.

For those who do not know, a couple of senior administration Officials (former, very likely) were charged with perjury. Expect to see more indictments.....and Paterno lawyered up......

It could also mean she knows something and he's trying to buy her off....and if he's 84 and she's 71 and he's been at it for 60 years doesn't that make her 11 when they hitched up.....could be another damning fact in this case......
