Jojo the red tail starting size 2.5 inches and thanks giving the tiger shovel nose

Well lon story short I have had a sick baby and a wife going back to work part time so have not had the time to build the filtration. Have decided pick up this Aquatop CF400UV 4-Stage Canister Filter with UV 9W, 370 gph plus add on another spare canister filter i have that will get me at 600+ gph turn over so thats about 200 over the tank they are in now that has no water quality problems.
 
The black specs in the tank are feeder gold fish. I added 21 gold fish and 20 gallons of water from my 120 to help it start cycling. Plan to make the lid and lights and mount the filter lines this weakend.

Not by MFK standards. Red tails in the 24 and under are small. 24 to 36 medium. 36 and up are large.

There are several on this site that are in the 24 to 36 inch range in 500 gallon tanks. Also from tracking mine and others growth they slow down in growth at around 18 to 20 inches. Jojo grew the fabled inch a month no problem tell he was 14 inches then it started to slow. He was exactly 10 inches when hes was put in the 120 gallon tank on 02-29-2012 see post 30 for pic. so from this next measurement i can find out his per month.
 
Warning fish lovers yes i did drop thanksgiving he managed to stab me in my thumb. He's fine and other then not being able to grip anything with my thumb this morning so am i.
