Like the tiger Shovel allot, your more bold then me to buy one. I need a larger tank

And i hope some day to have the heart to try stingrays but for now i will keep to my easier to deal with catfish. I have the skills to Raise and work with many fish but have always feared getting into stingrays. Maybe some day you can guide me in that art.

Quite possibly the most interesting thread I've ever read. I read and watched everything from the beginning to the end and enjoyed every bit of it. All I can say is, I can't wait for an update. :D

Well I got a night of everyone other then the baby out of the house. So i made a quick walk around and Highlighted a few ideas on the 300 gallon tank.

I apologize for how rushed this video was I had a limited amount up time to do it.

I am envious of you man! I LOVE catfish and they are definitely my favorite fish! I can not wait till I am a bit older and have my own property so I can build a large tank and buy some cats! I do not recall you posting this but I am curious.. About how much did the whole 300 gallon fish tank cost?

Break down on cost well i planned and bought everything for this build only when onsale over a 4 month period of time the only exeption was the glass.
But here is a list of everything used
2 - 2ft x 4ft 3/4 plywood
2 - 4ft x 8ft 3/4 plywood
5 - pound bow 1 1/4 self tapping screws
4 - tubes of luiquid nail
1 - bottle gorilla glue
10 - 8ft 2 x 4
2 - 1 gallon pool paint (some colors cost more then others)
1 - 16inch by 48 inch starbright 1/2 glass
2 - tubes silicone (1 was enouph to mount glass in the end but im glad i had 2 incase)
1 - 5 gallon marine grade fiberglass with hardner (used almost 3 gallons)

My total cost in the end was around 420.00 but as said i waited and only bought tings on sale.

Just stopping in to update
I had a failed mating with my Oscars they tried to mate off and on for 2 weeks. Then out of no were the female went crazy on the male and killed my larger Oscar Boar.

The wife had a learning experience with large mouth catfish when she brought home a small alge eater for her tank and the 2.5 inch bumble bee cat ate it an hour latter LOL

The pathos filtration on the big tank has been amazing to see all parameters on the tank are solid stable. I still do water changes every 3 months but just to freshen it up and pull any mineral build up out.

The big cats are pushing 2ft easy and I now have a school of close to 50+- guppies that live with them and bread like rabbits in the pothos roots. Do to thanksgivings hate for red all of the males have blue tails. they produce enough I get to feed the Oscar tank about twice a weak with 20 fresh guppies. This leaves Specles the remaining Oscar hunting down guppies for the next 3 to 5 days.

Other then that life is good! Have fun everyone!

Where are the Pics?! Sorry about Your O's i've heard they are hard to establish a pair because of this =/ But must see kitty pics!

I will see about a new round of pictures to up date this thread with. This is a feeding video we did on May 18th. My son wanted to show are family that are out of state how big the catfish are compared to him.
