sorry man that sucks

Thanks.

I think the Ich is under control and pretty much knocked out. I added salt and kept the temp around 85-86. I don't see any spots on the fish, and haven't seen any scratching. However, I did lose a Cuban tonight, wrapped around the intack of the AC110. Cause of death; unknown, took me by suprise. Wasn't even the weakest Cuban.

The Cubans arer slightly smaller than the Frempongis. If I lose 1 more Cuban in the coming weeks, I'm thinking of ordering a couple more from TUIC, this time of the larger 3" size he also offers. Maybe the Cubans need a size advantage when growing up with the Frempongis. We'll see. So far it looks like the Frempongis have a slight growth rate edge on the Cubans. Yeah, getting a couple more 3" Cubans next month might be a possibillity.

I thought about taking more pics to post a couple tonight, but they are still so tiny and uninteresting looking compared to what they will be. Maybe I'll wait another week or so to take new pics, unless I get a specific request on one of them.

I sure wish I did because I would order some more. Before I made my fish order to TUIC I emailed Jeff Rapps and asked him if he planned to sell any h frempongis or elongatus in the near future. He replied that he had a very few little frempongis left and he could only spare 3, so I took them. I don't know if this means he is completely out, or he's trying to raise up a breeding pair. I noticed he had a lone 7 inch frempongi up for sale for a few days, I wonder if that was part of his original breeding pair, and lost one due to fighting or something.

Mine are still really small, far from breeding size, and not coloring up yet. I have noticed a little bit of growth. But you know how it is, a watched pot never boils. I've got to go play trivia at the neighborhood bar tonight, if I don't consume too many beers I might try snapping a couple of fresh pics and posting them before I go to bed. But I'm not making any promises. :)

OK, took a few pics tonight, nothing great or anything;

my pair of Hemichromis elongatus should be arriving here monday i have to go to the airport and pick them up i am thinking about putting them in a 125 gal , but not sure what else to put them in the tank with , i know u do not have a pair but what is your dominant fish right now

Those aren't baby peacock bass. They are young Hemichromis frempongis. They are from Africa get to be about 7 inches or so. They have rather nasty dispositions themselves, so they should be able to handle growing up with the grammodes I hope. A lot of fish keeping is trial and error, you don't always know for sure how things will turn out.

BTW, my avatar is of an older frempongi.
