Sorry to say it, but your probably better off findin someone else to take the RTC. They grow very large and require alot of money to properly maintain. Never mind the tank and all the equipment cost's, when he gets big feeding him will become quite exspensive. You'll have a fish that needs fish filets from your local grocer he may cost almost as much as it costs to feed yourself. When they get bigger it'll be harder to get rid of. Zoo's an aquariums are used all too many times as dumping grounds for fish like this an it's gotten to the point where many times they can't take them anymore as they have too many already. It's a shame they're beautiful fish with a great personality, but are far too much for the average hobbyist. If I may make a suggestion a nice large fish is the common Oscar. You should be able to properly care for a fish that gets to about a foot an they have great personalities and when full grown are quite impressively large. Good luck an I hope you make the best decision for you and the fish.

Thaw the frozen foods before feeding him. Fresh ones are equally fine.

nice hiding place, but bigger tank should be better.

bought it in china.. its about 18cm (7 inch), is it asian or southamerican? i dont know..
when i first got it, its top color was dark brown or black, and now it turned to light brown or beigi. will it die? is it sick?

and yeah,, i dont know wat to feed him:cry: yesterday i put 2 fishes (i cripled them btw) with him, and today both fishes still alive.

for how long can the catfish live with no food?
shall i try to cut the fishes into 2 halfs then feed him?
or just leave one healthy fish with him?

i read somewher that u shouldnt feed him fishes while he still young, so he wont get refuse anyother food.. is it true? if so then wat shal i feed him?

i put him in aquarium with 2 lobsters and a sucker

and here some photoes before and after it turned to light color
can anyone guess its current age?
wats the average age/size of this catfish?

and thank you

im sorry but, your in way over your head. the reason im laughing so hard is because i did the same thing due to the beauty of the cat, and i went from a 55g to a 90g to plans to build an indoor pond. i bet you will love this cat as well and go on a similar path. have fun and welcome to monster fish keeping!
