Just brought home an ~10" ID Shark

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
don't forget vegies... as the ID grows bigger, it losses teeth so, adult ID's like vegies a lot...

alright... try cucumbers, grapes (fruit too) and lettuce...

We usually have froze veggies. I'll pick up a bag from Sam's club this weekend. I'm not sure if his mouth is completely healed yet so I'm just glad to see him eat something.

He ate a bunch tilapia tonight... He's still searching for more.

Thats awesome. Good find! I saw youre treating with Melafix. Might want to add some Pimafix as well. Good water quality and the medicine combined will do him a lot of good. Glad to hear he's starting to eat. I feed my guy massivore, sinking cichlid gold, sinking walfer, and algae wafers. Mines getting larger and I probably should start adding a little more veggie into his diet. I'm now on the hunt for another one as it is obvious how much he would like to school.

I treated with melafix for 4 days and salt. I have an automatic drip system, so I turned that back on after 4 days to keep the water perfect. I just through more Tilapia in the tank, but for some reason my endis have it in a pile in front of them. And I did spread it around the tank. lol. I would really like to get another ID shark for him too, so he can school. He seems to like to hang around the aro a lot. In order to get another one, would it have to be about the same size as him? Or as long as it won't get eat, would that be enough? I'm guessing they'd have to be similar in size.
