I treated with melafix for 4 days and salt. I have an automatic drip system, so I turned that back on after 4 days to keep the water perfect. I just through more Tilapia in the tank, but for some reason my endis have it in a pile in front of them. And I did spread it around the tank. lol. I would really like to get another ID shark for him too, so he can school. He seems to like to hang around the aro a lot. In order to get another one, would it have to be about the same size as him? Or as long as it won't get eat, would that be enough? I'm guessing they'd have to be similar in size.

I don't know about the size for sure, but, given that I have a bunch of big bottomless pits (catfish) in my tank, I hold to this rule: If it looks like it MIGHT fit into their mouth, even just as a choking hazard, it doesn't go in the tank. Basically, a lot of big cats will attempt to eat things that don't really fit down the hatch potentially killing both the victim, and the perpetrator.

Its hard to find a larger ID Shark.

Tell me about it. Its shocking how hard they are to find given that they are sold so frequently at small sizes. Petsmart pretty much has them in stock every time I'm there. It shows how many are mistreated and killed. :(

Your right, small ones are always available and for really cheap too. It seems that people to not realize how big they get. If you find a few that are larger, let me know and I'll do the same for you.

I have no idea if you can really ship these guys as they get older since they are such spooks. It might take a really good shipper that knows how to tranquilize them a little or just has a method of shipping fish that would otherwise trash themselves. If I run across something, I'll let you know. I was going to put up a want to buy ad here in a few weeks when I've got my 600 fully cycled and then also on craigslist. I actually rescued mine out of a 40 gallon tank almost 9 months ago at 8-9". He's now a full 16". :) I got the little guy for free cause the owner wanted to be picky about who he gave the fish to.

Very nice! Mine is in my 135 gallon now and will be going in a 600 plus gallon once it's done. He's about 10" i'd think. His lip is looking much better and he's starting to get some weight on him.

Well I brought home an albino ID shark. He's about 5-6". I'm not sure if they'll "school" together due to the size and or color differences. It'll be interesting to see.

alibno's will schools with regulars and will eat the same...
