you need to make sure they are in a small enough space to get to their food. you need to feed them bloodworms 3 to 4 times a day so their bellys are always round. you need to make sure they are covered from site with lights low. you need to make sure there is enough water movement and surface agitation for good oxygenated water and you need to make sure the water is under 75 but even better around 70ish. oh yeah, they always need access to the surface because they are air breathers...dust2dust;4054800; said:I guess what I am asking is are they having heart attacks what can i do to prevent this
air stones are close to useless. you can actually watch them breath easier within minutes of agitating the surface...dust2dust;4054825; said:I think the surface agitation is why I am losing them I have some air stones but they dont seem to be crowding the surface like they where when i first got them
