JUST HAD TO SHARE THIS "DIY"

i did something similar to my AC110. where the factory u piece come down into the water i put a 90deg elbow and pipe to go to the far right of the tank then put the factory end on the pipe. all this does is pull water from the right side (filter is on the far left) and filter it then release it on the left side of the tank. It filters the same as far as i can tell, but it improved water circulation overall. I used 3/4 PVC and bought some extra suction cup heater holders from petsmart they clipped the 3/4in tube perfect.

umm . i want to say 3/4's drill bit. not sure though.

That's wicked, I never thought of that. I got in on the $45 dollar AC110 deal and both the ones I ordered came in with cracked down tubes. I'll have to give that a shot. With shaving it down a little bit, I wonder if it could be made to fit under the factory cover.

Call hagen, They will send you new intake pipes no problem, Mine were both cracked also, called and new ones arrived about a week later.
 
Nice!! At first it was just cool and UGLY!! Now it is cool...ulgy but fits in... And interesting :) Awesome!
