Probably the wrong place to ask this but on a large tank 96"L x 48"W x 30"H sw to you need to run a heater and chiller or one or the other. New to all of this but I have the moto go big if your going to do anything.

Depends on your scenario. Is it saltwater or freshwater? Lobster tank lol?

Most freshwater you need a heater depending on the room temp. I can get away 6-7 months out the year where I might not need a heater but I keep tropical fish.

All depends what kind of fish... A chiller is mainly to chill so if you have humidity to overheating issues chiller is used.

Going to be a SW tank not sure if it's going to be a reef tank or mainly fish. I'm guessing I'm going to have to tropical fish because my wife likesaid and wants a lot of color in the tank.

Titanium is the way to go but for the price I'm a fan of Aqueon Pro heaters
They are black plastic no glass
Real durable, 2 color led
Cheap heaters are NOT the way to go though
I had a submersible heater, forget the brand, but it cooked a red eared slider almost
It made the water 145 degrees F
the turtle lived but was never quite the same after
Manufacturer actually refunded price of heater and $40 replacement of an adult turtle
