these guys seek to make the facts fit their theories rather than shaping their theories to the facts, they have , as fundamentalists, a religious axe to grind.

All we are trying to say is, so does the atheist down the street who has his own opinions, thats all.

that doesn't change the facts in the article.Lincoln was a Christian, does that mean that you believe the slaves shouldn't have been freed?Ofcourse not, there are people in this world that are able to things and state facts with an unbiased state of mind.

so do you concur with this:

On six days work may be done, but the seventh day shall be sacred to you as the Sabbath of complete rest to the Lord. Anyone who does work on that day, shall be put to death. You shall not even light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day. (Exodus 35:2-3 NAB)

or this:

You wives will submit to your husbands as you do to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of his body, the church; he gave his life to be her Savior. As the church submits to Christ, so you wives must submit to your husbands in everything. (Ephesians 5:22-24 NLT)

or this:

If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NLT)

I could go on...the bible is full of stuff like this

First one. The Pharisees questioned Jesus on this topic numerous times and He replied "The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath." Which means that they were claiming what you are and that is the importance of the adherance of the Law, and Jesus wanted them to see the Law for what it's overall purpose was, to point out sin, and to show God's love.
second one. Yes, I do agree with this. However I do not agree with what mainstream media acts like this means like a wife is somehow their husbands slave. Not truem not Bibilical. Women were very important to Jesus, and the early Christian church.
third one. Again you are picking out individual scripture, without an overall knowledge of all scripture. So yes I belive that is God's word and I belive that was part of His law to His people, but I also belive that Jesus Christ broke our bondage to sin, therefore, I don't bvelive in stoning adulterors.
Critics are always quick to point out laws in the Old Testament to try to bring Christianity down, but they look past the fact that, that's exactly what the Pharisee's and Saducee's did to Jesus before killing Him.

So because the 2 article I put up were by some conservative, the information presented isn't worth the paper it was printed on?

What sound logic on your part davidw and sandtiger:screwy:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_B._Robinson

Arthur B. Robinson is founder, president and professor of chemistry at the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine, where he conducts research on protein chemistry and on nutrition and predictive and preventive medicine. He also sells the Robinson Curriculum, which promises to "Teach your children...to acquire superior knowledge as did many...in the days before socialism in education".He is an avowed Christian fundamentalist.

The Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine (OISM) describes itself as "a small research institute" that studies "biochemistry, diagnostic medicine, nutrition, preventive medicine and the molecular biology of aging." It is headed by Arthur B. Robinson, an eccentric scientist who has a long history of controversial entanglements with figures on the fringe of accepted research. OISM also markets a home-schooling kit for "parents concerned about socialism in the public schools" and publishes books on how to survive nuclear war.
The OISM is located on a farm about 7 miles from the town of Cave Junction, Oregon (population 1,126). Located slightly east of Siskiyou National Forest.

These guys are clowns

An ad hominem argument, also known as argumentum ad hominem (Latin: "argument to the person", "argument against the man") consists of replying to an argument by attacking or appealing to the person making the argument, rather than by addressing the substance of the argument. It is most commonly used to refer specifically to the ad hominem abusive, or argumentum ad personam, which consists of criticizing or personally attacking an argument's proponent in an attempt to discredit that argument.

Maybe you should take your own advice.

I am questioning the lack of any factual argument , I don;t think I am attacking anyone personally, unless somone has their ego too closely tied to their position and so feels threatened by this type of questioning?
The people who wrote the article are frauds.
Please read this link to find out more about their bogus research.

If one's beliefs cannot stand up to scrutiny then it is surely irrational to continue such beliefs

Calling someone a clown is a personal attack.Unless the person paints their face and works at a circus.Dismissing someone simply based on their faith is exactly the same as me attacking Al Gore because he's a liberal extremist.Sorry, but you're guilty of not practicing what you preach.
