"Its probably one of the cleanest and best maintained tanks around."

*waits for photographic evidence*

Here you go.

There are 2 hob filters at rated 110 gph each (11 times turnover rate per hour). The tank gets a 25% water change with gravel vac every 3-4 days and a 50% water change with gravel vac every 2 weeks. The pleco keeps the glass, cave, and driftwood spotless.

You just wanted to see more pics...enough explanation. Its a grow out tank, the fish are juveniles and will be well taken care of.

Right on. Only suggestion would be to try some of that black airline tubing it tucks nicely with the black background :) Not bad for an office tank.

TheCanuck said he had a 180. :iagree:The tank in the pic is a 20.

My statement was that you have a 20 gallon. I have a 180 so i could keep the cool fish i wanted to and give them a permenant home. I have a 10 gallon , that holds pea puffers and they love it! Its a rinky dinky tank but its a permenant home thats what counts. Thing is they will always love that home , your fish are happy and healthy now and i dont doubt your clean tank and maitnence. Wouldnt you like to have your couple office fish and keep them the "cool office fish" that everyone knows? The dat idea is terrible , a group of dats wouldnt be the best idea to start "growing out" in a 20 gallon. I made my statement to suggest having a couple exodons that could thrive and could call home in that 20 gallon. Face it , most things will outgrow that 20 gallon like no other. 55 I say is like the bare minimum for growing out the size of fish you have. Changing tanks is stressfull , and why wouldnt you want just a couple fish in your office that you could keep their for life and everyone enjoys them.

O and by the way i dont have to compensate with my 180 gallon. I have a 12ft tank down stairs :). I was using that for the fact that i have the right size tank for my size fish that i would like to keep. My office is also my room , I'm 18 years old and making currently a very good income for my age. I pay for my car and spend my money of fish and traveling. I am very humble and please dont take this as me being arogant, just thought you should know i dont have to compensate for anything. If your concerned about my ____ i could send you a picture, or just pm my girlfriend her name is ashlee.

Don't take this offensive cause i really dont want to argue. My point is i just dont see the point of having a "growout" tank at the office. Thats more work than needed , and you cant really grow out fish in a 20 gallon to begin with. I like the 20 gallon its cool and very clean, you should just rethink your stocking ideas. Sorry ive been stressed the past couple of days and didnt politely get my point across. >.< I guess what i would have done was get rid of all the fish , get store credit and got some exodons , or some cool schooling fish. Which i know the fish are still small, though following up with im going with dats next is crazy lol. You would be chaning fish out of that tank every month!

No i am the one with the name canuck. Dontgetbit is dontgetbig, when confused in a thread reread the whole thing. I find myself having to do this atleast once a day.

What a thread...

GROW OUT tanks are the DEVIL. WARNING - Never put a fish in a tank that it can not live in for life. If you do you will be reincarnated as a RTC in a Betta bowl.

Kids these days....
