Need help. My 11 inch black belt has developed a crusty and cracked look around his eyes. His eyes are NOT glossy. He is acting normally but I can't find any information on what this could possibly be from.

Grow out tanks are fine , a 20 gallon is not a growout tank for the fish you keep or plan on keeping(Growout dats?). It is a waste of time , and should just be stocked correctly to enjoy fish. Your missing the concept , your the one thats saying your going to grow out a bunch of dats in a 20 gallon , thats rediculous. And no this isnt really that big of a deal , i just hate when people post up something on an OPEN forum and when they dont get the responses they want they freak out and respond negatively to someone offering advice or thier opinion. Isnt that what you wanted? So before you make your next thread , you should think this through. You got my advice , and others. You responded poorly and didnt except what others had to say. Now go to just about any lfs and look at the tanks they keep their fish in. I bet they are around 20 gal and most of their fish are larger than the JD and Bichir in this tank.

Thats because the fish move out of the tank quickly. Do you want to move fish out of that tank quickly? Thats what your basically having to do , which is stupid. That was my opinion and i am entitled to it you dont have to like it. its not your tank ? im sorry that you want to split hairs between you and the OP. My opinion on the JD was for his best interest and i am glad you are moving him to the 55 the minimum of his required home. Now my second opinion was on the dats and how thats not a good idea. Good luck with your fish. "A 20 gallon absolutely works as a growout as long as the fish are removed before they get too big."
Sure , it can for 2 months with some fish , why wouldnt you be intelligent and just start them in a more reasonable tank and not waste the time of having to always switch fish in and out of the tank. Or get more reasonalbe fish for a 20 gallon , datinoids are not smart. I guess you cant make intelligent points with not so intelligent people.

Just one of those threads ... where people ask for comments/advice/opinions and they get upset and defensive when they dont get what they want. They forget its an open forum, t really urks me...... im done!

Picked up this little guy at lunch....I think it is a cory hybrid. The sign was gone and they let me have him for $3.
