There is a legal way of getting into the country and there is an illegal way, jumping the fence on the border is illegal. The sheer number of illegal immigrants does not justify working programs nor citizenship.

what keeping our money in the US since most of them just send our money to their family down in mexico... now i am not racist and i have had a couple of immigrants work for me in the past but they where here legally and earned every penny i paid them

It is true that most Americans would not want the jobs that illegal immigrants perform. Some of this is due to the fact that illegals do not demand benefits or pay taxes, either form themselves or their employer. A legal employee for the same job would have to be paid much more, making the legal person less desirable. Illegals do place a burden on the economy. They are almost all uninsured. This means free medical care for them and their families. It also means free breakfast and lunch for their children at school, funded by taxpayers. In addition, they do not pay car insurance. Anytime there is an accident involving an illegal the money is coming from somewhere else(the taxpayer). Socially, they place a demand on the government. In most places, the government and other institutions provides Spanish speakers, forms printed in Spanish, and police who speak Spanish. In some places, schools are taught in Spanish and the Mexican flag flies above the American.

I am not sure how I feel about illegals, but just to say they take our undesirable jobs does not tell the whole story. I know I am always bitter when I see the taxes taken from my check and it does not make me happy to know that people are using American services and not contributing their part. I think that if you went to Mexico without a passport or license and demanded all the benefits that illegals receive here, you would find that your rights are almost none.

I would like to know where people get the idea we WONT do those jobs? We did them before they got here and we were pushed out due to them accepting low wages. I know there are alot of legal people who would do those jobs, and so what if you had to pay 50 cents more for a pack of strawberries. Alot cheaper than the medical costs and the costs to house them in jails.

And you could fire them for insubordinance. This is something that my grandmother told me one time. "When I came here from Canada legally, I did not dare to complain about anything. I WAS JUST SO HAPPY TO BE HERE". Hmmm.... Maybe some can learn from that statement. I am so tired of this gimmee gimmee gimmee attitude. And from the words of Forest Gump " Thats all I got to say about that"

Support the "guest worker" statute that gives illegals and potential illegals legal protections, a legal work status, yet does not require them to become citizens, this allows proper census keeping and does not upset immigration quotas. Many nations worldwide have similar statutes.

They take all of the jobs that most of won't. Do you see us out there in the hot sun picking fruits & veggies?
The reason you dont is because all the illegals are more likely to get those jobs because they dont have to get paid nearly as much as a legal resident.
They are taking all the jobs that most kids straight out of highschool would be most likely to get. My dad used to work at a slaughterhouse doing labor jobs when he was in highschool. if a kid out of highschool today tried to get that job, he wouldnt because the illegal immigrants would already have it.
They are making it harder for legal residents to find jobs. :swear:

Hmmmm..First off I want to know when it became a Mexican issue? I have friends who are from other countries who came here. Guatamala, El Salvadore, China, Taiwan, Palestien, Philipines, and Iran just to name a few. As far as the border with Mexico goes, according to the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo (which ended the Mexican/American War) the border was to remain open to people. The USA changed (or renigged) that years later.
Why look to other countries for answers to this so called "problem" when America has welcomed immigrants better than any country before os since. Most immagrants in European countries aren't welcome into the fabric of the country like they are here, and have become agitated, and angered by such treatment. There fore not feeling any allegiance to the country they live in.
As far as obeying laws in the USA, I agree anyone who becomes a citizen should do so. There are no rights given by the US government to anyone. The United States was founded on the principle that rights are endowed to all man kind (regardless of where they were born), the US belief is that the government is there to protect those rights. I.E. it is not the governments place to endow rights, only to protect those bestowed upon us by our creator (what ever you believe that creator to be).
As for jobs no I will not pick lettuce, and if we crack down on immagrant workers the fast food industry will take a huge hit. Maybe even increase wages for American workers and pass the increase on to you, translation $5.00 - $10.00 Whoppers and Big Macs.
If they wave Mexican flags to symbolize heritage I have no problem with it, if however war were declared between Mexico and the USA I'd expected them to grab a gun and stand a post! It's like Carlos Mencia says "If we go to war with Mexico I'm killing Mexicans." "My dad says Mexico is better than the USA, I say then go back." As I would expect anyone who comes to the US for the protection of their freedom to do.
I think this is such a big issue because most of the new immagrants to the US aren't WASPS. The same fear came about when the Irish potato famin hit and the Irish migrated here in large numbers, they were taking all the jobs, working for less than us Americans. Again it happened when the Chinese came over in large numbers.
As far as migrant workers go, those who retain Mexican citizenship and have no interest in becoming Americans, it's different. There should be something done to allow them to come up work then go home etc. Any law here they should adhere to of course.

Hmmmm..First off I want to know when it became a Mexican issue

Its not. Its just that 6 million of the illegal immigrants in the USA are Mexican.
They are the majority of illegals.

That $10.00 arguement doesnt satnd, not being rude at all here, but everyone in California knows about In and OUt Burger. They sell burgers for $1.35. They pay their "cooks" starting $8.00 per hour. Thats pretty good. And why people choose Mexico to blame is the fact that no other country has 11,000,000 of their people jumping our borders. Use australia for example, in order to become a rresident there, you must be able to offer that country a service, such as a doctor or engineer. Something that country can benefit from. I would love to be a part of that society but, sorry aussies, you have the worlds most deadly insects. EEEEK!

Australia is nice, I just happen to be preou to be an American. Oh and $8.00/HR is good for a high school kid. They also offer a simple menu and for $1.35 you get what you pay for.
