Just WOW

Well this isn't my thread and don't wish to derail, but here's a little taste if someone wants to play with me for a day -- and unlike the recent 'Free Solo' film you don't have to pay to see it; the do or die part starts about 04.00 if you want to skip ahead. Best watched in HD:

So... Did you get down the same way you got up or..?

Also, about five and a half minutes into the video you encounter a tree/bush/vine/thing... How would you react if a giant scorpion ran out of it and up your arm?

Final word of advice -- if you ever play with a crocodile for the love of god, never, ever poke a stick between their claws, nothing pisses them off more.
Lastly, please tell me you didn't find this out the way I think you found out? Hahaha

No, I came down a much easier way -- down climbing on anything near vertical is way, way harder than climbing up; esp. in the case of climbing rope-less you would (usually) only try it as a very last recourse.

Those damn tree branches were probably the hardest thing about the climb lol, I had to keep pushing them out of the way with one hand while holding on with the other so I wouldn't get stuck on them or even pushed off the cliff. And likewise I couldn't actually grab them to support my weight/aid my progress, as that would have violated the free solo status of the climb.

But getting to your question: I've had birds, lizards and insects surprise me but nothing crazy like a giant scorpion or snake (knock on wood:) -- if I did I'd hope I'd be calm enough to deal with it, kinda like the time some bees gave me a hard time while climbing a coconut tree lol, still got my coconut and didn't jump outta the tree :)

Was the coconut tasty?

Honestly, you've got more balls than I do. I don't like heights so no way I'd do any of that - especially without a rope or something holding me up...

The comments though!
