No, I came down a much easier way -- down climbing on anything near vertical is way, way harder than climbing up; esp. in the case of climbing rope-less you would (usually) only try it as a very last recourse.
Those damn tree branches were probably the hardest thing about the climb lol, I had to keep pushing them out of the way with one hand while holding on with the other so I wouldn't get stuck on them or even pushed off the cliff. And likewise I couldn't actually grab them to support my weight/aid my progress, as that would have violated the free solo status of the climb.
But getting to your question: I've had birds, lizards and insects surprise me but nothing crazy like a giant scorpion or snake (knock on wood
-- if I did I'd hope I'd be calm enough to deal with it, kinda like the time some bees gave me a hard time while climbing a coconut tree lol, still got my coconut and didn't jump outta the tree
