Juve Dovi..Female or Male ??Any expert?

Female dovii are hard core *******! I would have bet money on the one i had, against any other fish I'd seen besides her mate when he'd had enough. And the babies are even worse...
 
Mine went through the classic Parachromis murder spurt. Up until about 9 inches it would randomly become the grim reaper. It calmed down later after it was paired with some larger males. You will probably get a bunch of opportunities to re-stock your tank with your fingers crossed. Keep an eye out in the marketplace for some larger fish you can try with. Odds are you will never have to worry about the Dovii though. What always impressed me about them wasn't so much their ability to kill but how smart they were about it. It's a fish you can watch outsmart other fish. Almost like it enjoys planning all of its kills before it gets to it. Weeks can pass with no problems before you wake up to a full on massacre. They are the serial killers of fish keeping.

They are...complete psychos, even torturing any dither. I have some pretty parachromis hybrids I call motasellis, if the dovii doesn't work :-)

That's tiny still. one of my males would change just like that until 7'' or so.
