Juve Dovi..Female or Male ??Any expert?

It's cool man, I learned everything from screwing it up. Probably the best way to get to know fish keeping. As far as the JD goes I usually sex them by the pattern on their cheek. Just a couple of sparse spots and its male and the worming spot pattern is on the females. I think they call the worming pattern a beard, which is confusing, but I'm a modern man so if girl fish want to have beards I'm cool with it.

A lot can change, both fish are still very small but the larger, longer markings below its eye and at the back of its lip still make me pretty sure it's a girl.

After 1month growing.This fella eat like a pig.Grow slightly bigger so now any different?Female or male?
 
Can I see better pics of the unpaired fins? Spangling = male. Plain is of course female.

I wouldn't look past a female. They have nice colors to and have plenty of glass banging attitude in a much more manageable package.

I really can't tell by the pics, but I'm leaning female. Look at the unpaired fins in the back. If you have spots/spangles you have a male.

You should be able to tell now if you look close. I just cant tell from the pics.
