can't see in the pic, but there's a mushroom shaped island in the middle of the tank for cover. water is at half level so even if it jumps, cant make it out. almost learned the hard way. my barca is pretty relaxed, it's the other one at the LFS that's agro.

keep salt in all my tanks, helps keep water cleaner and stable.
Always been told Channa have a very low salt tollerance.
Maybe this could be effecting his eye?

no... should I? Don't know where to begin to find somehting like that.

The LFS said same thing, eyes cloud when they change water. They dont add salt.

oh yes I've seen these for sale. read the article thanks, didn't pick up on any additional value over driftwood. If that's correct, prefer driftwood as it's cleaner. The tank they will eventually inhabit will be heavily planted and tanic. Water in the upper 6PH range.

For now i just need to figure out what's clouding those eyes.

I say "they" cos just picked up another one. Not sure if they will "pair" but so far after a night and a morning, no fighting, they appear to be getting along.

no conclusions as to sex...:confused:
