My flower horn is not responding to the mirror like the moment I put the mirror in front of him I don't find any kind of aggression he still sits behind the spong filter
Patience, man...Rome wasn't built in a day!!

There are flowerhorn toys. Look up the ea imports website they have toys that look like flowerhorns and can be used for grooming them.Hi from a newbie who's learning that with this, patience is key.
You have to give the FH a bit to see long lasting good results. Do you know if they have "flowerhorn toys"?
Trying to assess needs of my buddy FH before I get him/her. Thanks

Toys are more of a novelty. They don't do anything you cant do with your own finger. Stick with a mirror or parrot. If your guy still has not settled in, there may be some underlying issues. 18 days should have been plenty of time for him to get comfortable in your tank.
Seems like he hasn't got the fish yet. Toys do certainly more than fingers, may be close to what mirror does.
I was referencing the OP, did not realize someone else had asked the question about the toys. We will have to agree to disagree about the effectiveness of the FH toys. I have a couple, in my experience they don't do much. A mirror is far more effective as a grooming tool than the toys.
Just realized I got them mixed too. I guess it really boils down to how fish reacts to the toys, mirror has much better success rate at working, but when toys work they would give similar results (it's all about making fish think there is another fish). I assume success rate might not be good enough then as you have experience with more fish than me.
