  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks like chons photos I wouldn't bother with that guy id be willing to bet the fish has parasites or something wrong with it if he wont post an update. Tell him to bring it to your house for $100 if theirs something wrong with it tell him to go home.

Thats the first thing I thought when he denied sending me a video of the fish. Oh and the guy refuses to travel. I even asked for a RECENT picture since it seems like less work and he still won't send one.

If he's near you, go take a look at it. If it looks somewhat like that picture, I'd pick it up as a show piece only. Kamfa are much more sensitive than any other flowerhorn strain, so a high pH and soft water is what they want. And trust me, in the right care in the right hand of the owner...Kamfa out live any other flowerhorn strain. I mean, they don't even stop growing out their potential until at least a year and half or two. Sometimes even not till' their third year. If you don't have patience to watch your kamfa slowly bloom, it is not the right strain for you bro. Trust me, they will take a long time to bloom out all their potential. And even if he's fertile...probably won't be fertilizing any eggs until two years old or three. Take a look at it and good luck!

Big_one! I haven't seen any of your posts in a while. The guy thats selling this kamfa lives an hour away.. so I dont wanna waste gas for something I might not buy. Still trying to get the guy to at least send me a picture..

If they taking that long to send an update pic or vid then they must not really want to sell it or like what cam says its all sick and looks nothing like pic anymore.

I would have bought them both. :naughty:

I'm assuming that you meant hard water, not soft, as most tap water with a high pH typically won't be soft water. BTW - I don't find my kamfa to be any more sensitive than any other FH that I've owned, or currently own. Then again I keep all of my FH on their own in large tanks with pristine water conditions.
At a solid 10" my kamfa is still just a baby.
