he/she sounds very aggressive and really fooking pissed with you m8, try putting another in there with him/her and see what happens, u never know he/she might want a mate

thts what i did i put in other fish to keep him busy, and so far hes maybe jumped once since

Tie him to a rock with a shoelace, i bet he wont be jumping anymore.

By the way how far away is the place where you get your water tested?

i think he might drown if you tie him down

Some fish just jump. Some do it when the water isn't to their liking. I didn't read all five pages of the thread but you need to get your own test kit no matter how close your lfs is unless they are open 24/7. Just my thoughts.
