lookin pretty interesting... nice fish too! you have alot of unread emails too

Okay it's been a month. I'm very happy how this filter works. Water is extremely clear and best of all no sock to wash. I back wash it once a week with the water from my WC. Because the pump is 3000gph it goes very fast. The two 5 gal bucket show what came out in the first few seconds. More dark stuff came out after but the buckets were already full. The media is glass and doesn't create a big back pressure while trapping particulates.

About 1/4 tank to bashwash the filter.

very nice Ken...

Sounds like a great product all around Ken. When are you gonna send me one to test out :) ?

What kind of glass?

Crashed glass. Several grades are in work. Fine and coarse. The chamber I'm running has 30 lbs of coarse. Don't get the wrong idea because these are not homemade medias causing harm to the fish with sharp glass pieces.

Damn ken I wish u could come down to los angeles sometime to help me with my filtration...I would pay some good money to have some great filtration for my bass...

updates x2

This filter is now available for purchase through wlimproducts. It is not listed in their catalog because it is so new.
This filter takes very little water to completely backwash. Because it's a closed system it takes about 2 minutes to flush out and the pump does not have to be stopped during the WC/filter cleaning. Takes longer to fill the tank back with clean water. This is a mechanical/bio filter and traps very fine particle not like the Ultima. Also cost way less.
