Clown loaches will outgrow a 75, but it will take a good long while. They are also easy enough to rehome. They are awesome fish with tons of personality once they get good and comfortable.

I've a group of 10 yoyo loaches in my 180, they're by far his favorite, and seem to enjoy playing through the glass. I'll look into those posted, thanks everyone!

If i knew i could swing an upgrade and keep his hands out I'd get a fahka puffer. Maybe some day.

Even though oscars are common, you won't get much better of a solo wetpet, and a 75 is perfect for a solo oscar.

+1 Oscars were my first monster fish at a young age I was about 8 when I got a pair of tiger Oscars and a common plec lol , they lived for just short of ten years even without decent water qualities as I had no idea back then , they could nip fingers once grown but its not very likely there pretty placid as cichlids go , plus by then the kids will hopefully learn to love and respect the fish and realise they could get there fingers chomped :D

I would second the gold fish. Yes they are common but not many grow to be the sizes they can be (due to improper care) my kids LOVE their gold fish very interactive and very intelligent. My kids have a fantail and black moore. I have been toying with the idea of doing a comet goldfish tank.

My second vote would be Oscar never have a I seen a more personable cichlid.
