King of DIY gets an ornate

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Love how every thread about the guy reliably turns into a discussion about his persona in like 2 pages lmao
Someone PM me screenshots of the meltdown that apparently happened
I hate to be hypocritical and bring it up in this thread (I agree, it's pretty annoying) but I'd love to see screenshots of the meltdown. I have asked several people that claim to have them without any other response afterwards.

Loving how the gallery is coming together now though - I just hope that poly doesn't stay in the 2,000 gallon.

I'm hoping the large footprint of that tank will allow enough space for rays and a poly or two to stay out of eachothers way. Where people have had trouble is putting them together in 500g or less. Fights bound to happen with a small footprint. Look at the crazy combos vincentwugwg vincentwugwg has going on, he can break the rules because it's a massive tank. joey02 joey02 is no beginner by any means, and I'm sure he is aware of the potential problems with combining those bottom dwellers.

Believe it's the massive space and lots of tankmates that distract each other from killing one another.

I'm sure the problems will be minimal, if they even occur - I don't recall the footprint of the 2,100 gallon, but it's definitely big. Not sure how many tankmates there will be - I know he's talked about gars, more polys, and tinfoil barbs as potentials for this tank.

So far, the stocking of his 120's will be:
  • Tropheus tank
  • Peacock tank
  • Uaru tank
  • Discus tank
  • Saltwater tank
  • Saltwater tank
  • Piranha tank (???)
  • Flowerhorn tank (potentially a CA tank)
  • Two more tanks... wonder what's in store?

He was talking about building a tank for Frank in his bedroom. I'm not sure whether that plan has been signed off by his wife though lol

That wouldn't be too surprising, I know he wants a Central American tank in the gallery where Frank is now. And Frank doesn't fit into the whole theme of the gallery too well - which is region-specific tanks.

Will be interesting to see if he goes with biotope-style tanks for his saltwater setups as well. Or if he just stocks whatever fish he likes in them.

VInce doesn't house his rays and polys together. Polys are in there own tank, Rays are in mixed in several other tanks.
