i didnt mean ruin literately i have always loved the CA, SA cichlids for there look, attitudes and size and build i love a long stream lined fish parrots are fat and round then they made GT short body i hated them and now every other fish is being bred as short body personally i dont care for them (BUT TO EACH HIS OWN JUST MY PERSONAL 2 CENTS). When i bred my FH it was hard to tell them from trimacs unless you had a trained eye now these short body FH or parrot FH whatever you wanna call them is just s $$$$ making scam to sell a fish that will not live a full happy life

What's the point of breeding a fish if you can't tell the difference between it and another. Why not just buy a true trimac instead of one you can't tell the difference in. That to me says your ruining a true species that get confused and sold as wrong species because you can't tell the difference. In my opinion this is what ruins fish when you can't tell real from fake. And this is where the $$$$ scam comes in because people are selling fake fish for more than there worth.
Thank you for the clarification, my intention wasn't to derail the thread, just to see where you draw the line in terms of what you find appealing in FHs.
The aquaria hobby has room for all types. I agree that breeding fish for "cosmetic/aesthetic" traits that will shorten or decrease the quality of life is somewhat shady. But I also don't find appeal in most selective bred traits that are atypical of what occurs in the natural world.
GET IT RIGHT i said to the trained EYE i sold my FHs as FHs, not as trimacs just saying it didnt look like a parrot or a short body it had the amph look to it
OH I GOT IT RIGHT! If I bought one of your FH I would have a pic on here tying to confirm if it was FH or trimac. Just like I have pics n here trying to confirm SB FH or Kilin,Kirin. I wasn't asking your opinion or criticism on the fish I choose to keep. I also have a $500 SRD FH I know what quality FH are and my eyes dont need special training to figure that out. I have never seen the kirin parrot and bought them under the name kilin I was trying to figure out if they are what was advertised because I'm not familiar with them. I have already found out from some one else who isn't being an a** about it like you.
