well my 3 oscars are roomies and the have a few other Mates ill post some pix. also mine has grown up with some of these but not all of em. the oscar with less color and the albino are 6in and the full colored one is 9 1/2inch

Nice I like the mix. I like the Dragon fish what are they like, I here they just lay there and aren't very active. Do the bichir and rope get along?

i always liked oscars with some silver dollars or a tinfoil or two

tech. they are north american now. although they come from south america so many people have let them go here in florida they are now considered a wild fish. those along with pleco and even jaguar can be found on local fish posters and bait shops. you can even get cooking tips on the lot of them! jag and oscar are apparently good eating!? i suppose with all the mussle if jag tasted good it would be a good fish to eat. good fight i bet as well.

I would go with a nice 5-6 inch Severum,preferably a blue or green 1,they are nice looking and can take care of themselves

you might want to get an even larger tank eventually but i suggest getting a clown knife
they are "pretty"
they cost like 5 bucks at my petsmart
they get up to 40 inches in a tank setting
they like to eat goldfish, shrimp, and even catfish nuggets

I have a large tiger oscar and am looking to get roommates to go into a 75 gal. with them the better half says they have to be "pretty" though got any ideas?

Yeah a bigger tank for them would be a great start 75gal is the minimum size for one adult Oscar. But answering your origional question i'd have to say another Oscar as a tank mate.
