hey all, we dropped in a tiny petshop/lfs today to pick up some pet food after a day out and came across a 13-14 inch red oscar. bearing in mind the largest tank they have is 36x12x12 i was discussed to see this big guy laying motionless at one end, why would they take a trade in at that size at all? and priced him at 30 quid!!! thats about 50 usd, he has one hole which looks to be slight hith but otherwise looks pretty healthy other than looking old aged... the gf looked and her first words were 'buy him'.
sooo she gets a poly box and a small jug and starts filling the box, i shook my head and said get me a piece of hose and i will syphon some in, after i have water in the box she asks me if i can put him in and says its easier to grab them sometimes!!! lol what the hell. i got her to grab me a net and got him home, seems much happier now and all is well in the 300 atm, just hope it stays that way now.
