i know u have hostile attitude toward me, but lets just put that aside for now, i know nothing about ur plan in the future except u want aro community, but how many aros u wanted to have in one tank, and is that 180G that the final tank u wish for the community?
but im sure u know that 180G is too small to have an aro community with listed stocks to get along to each other.
but hey im sure u getting ready to turn a a swimming pool into ur tank in future right to meet ur demand?
if you dont thats your problem right there, and thats all u will be doing for a very long time and cycle back to 0.
im looking forward to it and proved me wrong :)

:duh: so are you speaking for experience or just barfing out some info you may have heard? Maybe your just making things up as you go along. I find it funny, your attempt to advise someone with so much more knowledge then yourself on the subject.

no its not my experience talking, it is my COMMON SENSE, as i dont have experience keeping large fish first hand, im on my there tho

WTF with and assault comment?
FYI im here not to be educated or schooled, i know exactly what im doing, ignoring ur kind lesson i learn here, but assaulting?!! :irked:

to mods, plz delete my comment here as it is not fit to the rule of posting but i had to respond this dumb ass.

people forget to use kindness and etiquette because they have a screen in front of them. just ignore the rude arrogant people.

i just got back from the lfs. got all six aros. i gave them a little extra cash on the trade cause my big aro jumped out the back of the tank and lost some scales.:irked: i told them i would cause i am a man of my word and the aro wasn't in the condition i said it was in due to the jump. all six are in the 120gal and seem to be ok, we'll see if it can be maintained as a peaceful group. i hope so.

all the best scott.. couldnt you jus trade your entire stock of fish and jus have the 6 silver aros for now? or prob a tank larger than a 180 g and ya prob set for life :)

thanx, i will have a pond/tank build in the future, somewere in the area of 10'x10'. i love my gars too much to sell/trade for all aros, and i missed my big cats after i sold them.

i don't have a hostile attitude tward you, you just have to much pride to admit when your wrong, imo. just listen more and act on the advise you recive and you wont have many problems. as stated above i will be building a pond/tank for them. it wouldn't be corect if i tell others to have the right tank size if i didn't have the right size. i also may get a 7' round stocktank if the large tank isn't ready when i need it. the key to housing any large fish is to have a plan and most of the resorces ready/done before you get the fish not do the normal "look what i got...now what?" the problem i have had with community aros is the fact that i have had the misfortune to find zero aros that get along, with the only ones that did end up eatten. look through my old threads and you will see that.

I just traded in a 15 inch silver for a 6 inch black arowana. I have a 180 gallon to and they are simply to small to house a full size silver.. 180s are the minimum size for jardinis why dont you try some of those? I plan to sell the black arowana when it reaches 20 inches. or trade in for a small black.

i have had jars before, and like gshock said to agressive for a comm. tank. i will have the proper sized house for them. congrats on the black. i like them, just don't see many around here.

Excellent.. Bravo Scott.. all the best with the new aros.. keep us posted mate.. cheers.. and a pond build soon :)

thanx, i will do a build thread when i do get the pond going. yours is coming along nicly. that is the last time i saw it, as i have been on for limited times few the last few weeks or so.

the aros are still schooling together, with just a few nips and threat displays. i beleive it is all just in establishing the higher arcy right now, since all the other agresstion issuses in the passed were relentless and i would see damage that i am not seeing in them. only time will tell, but looks to be going about the same rate as my group that worked. cause i have noticed from my exp that you can see a mix that wont work with in the first 5 mins. i hope it stays this way,

hey thats great.. i had grown out these 3 aros from very small in their own tanks(now they are like 2 at around 22" and one around 18") and i wanted to introduce them together.. i def worried about the fighting as one of them was smaller than the others.. finally the day came and i stocked the tank with some 50 feeder goldfish.. moved them in and touchwood they jus seem to be goin along fine even today.. try keeping their bellies full scott.. i'm sure they will get used to each other and i def have a feeling this time it will be a success mate.. cheers..

i'll try on pics, i broke my camera, but i think the wife has a loaner from a friend that i may use. they are still fine. some small nips, but for the last few hours i have been watching them it has only been 2 nips and they are almost allways together. all of them took pellets tonight, this is my first feeding of them since they had full bellies when i got them. they all took the food sticks without hesitation. i have a good feeling about this combo being a success.
