Did You Guys actually read the article? Or are You just reading my post?

i read both, but my comments are based purely on my own experience with those doors and my conversation with my gf who worked at a theater in her teens. i'm more surprised that people considered them emergency exits then anything. i'd always thought they were just a faster way to get to your car so you didn't have to deal with the crowd lol. When the movie patrons come in with their glowing wand, they always check them.

whoa thought i have seen enough bull**** that people try to pull apparently not eh?
those people are the real james holmes

Welcome to America.

If no alarm sounded when an emergency escape was opened then they are at fault.

those are the same doors poeple use to exit the theater after a movie. Should an alarm go off every 2 hours when a movie ends and people exit? Probably not.

all emergency exits are all ONE WAY OUT no matter what part of country or state you are.
how do i know? it is part of my job to have full access to those emergency exit.

Not gonna debate it. Just watch how it plays out. The patrons called it an emergency exit, not me. If any of You believe a theater is not liable for ensuring the safety of 100s of people within a dark room then you have a poor grasp of US law. Regardless of how whatever state You live in defines " emergency door "
