Not a problem. Flagtail sure can jump! When I picked up some from Rich few years ago, a couple of them jump out of the tank, 6-7ft above ground, travel for a good 3-4ft distance, and landed in an empty bucket!Wet Whiskers;4787377; said:How they have survived, I'll never know. If I ever do anything to the tanks they have been in or the pond they freak out and jump as high and hard as they can. They are the ONLY fish I have ever had that do this. I just pulled a piece of wood out of the pond the other day and out flew 3 9-10" flagtails, one missing my face by inches and hitting the floor ending up knocked out cold. It might be a great survival strategy in the wild, but in captivity its dangerous for all. When I move them, I pretty much have to wait until they blackout to catch them. I feel bad as they are a wild animal with instincts, but man is it irritating.
Sorry for the tangent John....
They all survive, though
