I hear that. Im electrically challenged. Add water, and there's a good chance I won't live to see tomorrow :(

Stay on playing with 12V and you and the fish are safe. That's so low it can't kill anything (well, if you put 12V directly over a small fish and have a high-amp source maybe, so don't do that)

But if you don't want to DIY, there is several ways to get similar thing pre-fab. For computer modders there are several LED-things, like Sunbeam Meteor lights or their Laser-LEDs.

Dont have any at the moment but will try get some soon. It looks exactly the same effect as in rallysmans pic. ;)

Maybe not so bright but its hard to tell in photos.

Mine is just a neon tube from a car with a hacked cord. I'll try to get better pix tonight....I used a long exposure time so it looks brighter than it really is.

Moonlights are cool. I got some off of ebay and put them on my motorcycle. It never occured to me to put them on my tank.

Hey goodmike, i want to try my hand at this but have two questions... If I plug one end of the positive and one end of the neg in the 12v transfo to plug in wall, then the other two extremities of the lined up LED setup what happens with them? Do I end the line with one led and cut the wires?

Sorry I know nothing of this lol

Thanks for the great posts tho!
