Lenticulatas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Its like 12 1/2 feet long 3 1/2 feet wide and 3 1/2 feet tall. I dont remember the exact measurements.
I did change things around a bit. I found the piece of driftwood on the side of the road by my house. I cleaned it up and put it in. I like it better than the rocks i had in it before.

The glass is one piece. The rest is plywood and a special sealant. I had step by step pictures but my computer crashed and i lost all the pics. I still have the hard drive and i am still trying to retrieve them.

The glass is 3/4" thick. it is siliconed to the coating over the wood. The glass was about 700-800 pounds. It took alot of guys to put it in.

Now THATS refreshing!! Its GREAT to finally see some TRUE lenticulata in the hobby again! Man they are HOTT!! Where'd you get them from? That is crazy cool man! LOVE them!! Very very very very very very very very very jealous. I'm gonna bump this thread a few times so everyone can see their awesomeness!! Haha!

I got them from Rapps about 3 years ago. They have ben really cool to see grow out.

Thats the annoying thing about Rapps, he doesn't like posting up new pictures of the fish, he likes to use the 'generic' photos that he still has. Oh well, congrats on the steal of a deal!

Any updaters on your lent pair man? Curious to see if they got any more differences between the genders!! They look so similar in the pictures from the first picture. Although one DOES have a more robust belly than the other. Generally females have this trait...:D

I have not had a whole lot of time for decent pics. I think that they are for sure a pair. The one with the bigger belly looks like a female to me. She has lost most of her spots and her pattern is alittle plain looking compared to the male. While the male has kept all of his spots and has much more detail in his pattern. They get along great and share a pcv tube at night to sleep. I am almost tempted to put them in a tank of thier own and try to accomplish the impossable task of spawning them. Will see.
