Lenticulatas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, I'll just say that you have a very impressive tank, and that's a gorgeous pair of lents. Thanks for sharing with us. I have to admit, I'm jealous too. I'm probably not as jealous as P_P, but jealous nonetheless.

Wow stunning pikes. :)

I don't think moving THEM is a good idea. Sometimes a move can break up the pair bond. Plus you might have a better chance of getting them to spawn in there. Maybe move some of the other fish though so there is less 'traffic'...lol

These guys have ben together since 4-5" and they have allways swam together as a pair. No matter what tank i put the in, they have really gotten along with each other very well. I am pretty confident in this pair that they would keep thier bond where ever they end up.
They only reson that is was thinking about seperating them is because the Marmorata in the tank is for sure the baddest fish in the tank. So the Lents being smaller than the Marm, are easily bullied. I dont think the Lents are bold enough to try and stand up to the marm if she decides to get more agressive. Therefore they will never be comfortable enough to mate. So far she has been alright. But there are times when all the other fish in the tank stay out of her way.
Thats just my theory on the situation. But we all know that anyting goes with pikes. LOL

The bigger the tank, the more likely your chances of them breeding though! ;) perhaps you need to just remove the marm!! :D I would love to have some of your lent fry!! :D I CALL DIBS!!
