Bob. How big is the tank???
I only have a 32 gallon and i am a shamed for it!!!

Here's mine. Got him at 1.5" about 10 months ago I think, and is currently 18", and my rtc x tsn at 37". These pics are about 2-3 months old as I have kept the cover on the pond for the coldest part of the winter. I'll try to get new ones soon as the rtc looks much larger at 18" than at 15.5" in this pic.

Love that hybrid........

Its amazing how small the big cats look in the tubs. Put them in a tank and they look massive.

bob

i had a rtc that got to be 3 and a half feet long.we got 2 of them as babies and the bigger one ate the smaller one.we fed him beefheart.he grew like crazy.we had him in a 100 gallon and had to take him to a huge pet store in san bernadino, they were freaked out about his size when we took him there. i don't think they should sell rtc cause alot of people (including me)don't realize how big they get.they are beatiful fish though.

So... Let me get this straight.... you had a 42" RTC... in a 100 gallon tank???.... I'm calling BS... you very well may have had an RTC as they are common but I doubt very much that it was anywhere near 42" as it wouldn't have fit in the tank ... your average 100 gallon is only 18" wide and deep...your talking about a fish that would have had a head almost as wide and with the fins your talking about this fish being wedged into the tank...

Try again Sparky :screwy:

lol, what he says is true. That would be a sucky life for a 3.5' rtc.

everyone's RTC's came out NICEE!!!!!!! its been over a year since i posted in here. my rtc is now about 20 inches and ill try to snap some pics later tonight when i get home from work.

nice fish guyssss

i swear,no bs,he was 3 feet long-maybe not the half, but still.he was friggin' huge that's why i got rid of him.he used to lift the lid on the tank! we had a hard time finding someone to take him.
