sorry i went overboard with the pics :D

photo captions:
1) a one of a kind green palmas buettikoferi
2-4) another one of a kind. pic 2 is the earliest, pic 4 is latest. so the green has faded a bit.
5) palmas polli (can see the green on the pectorals) and lapradei
6-9) two retropinnis.
10-14) some palmas palmas with greenish pectorals. last two pics are same fish, just a year apart. theres also a retropinnis in the last pic.

Beautiful fish :) My retro is refusing to come out from under the log still - and if I piss him off to get him out, it'll wreak havoc and I'll have sand all up in my filters and urrrgh so not worth it. Someday he'll come out and say cheese :)

i love those photo threads ... !

My bichirs are more or less green due to their "mental state".
The polli-man is very green when he's sexual active ... these days he isn't, so the pic doesn't show his full beauty.
My lap is green the most time but when he lies near the surface on a leaf of a plant his pattern is more lightened.
My weeksi has sometimes a slightly green coating in the head area. This happens when feeding is starting ...

Here's my P. p. polli. Was in POTM a while ago. In some pics he's really green, unfortunately not so much in this one.
 
wow ive never seen green i wish mine was.
Are they born green or is it just a natural and random change?
