Lets see your cars!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My thing is you can make anything fast. I am still a V8 guy. I think the main V8 approach comes from just the upper models of older muscle and other things were V8 and that's how it should be. I do too think a pony car or muscle car should have a V8 or its wrong. But doesnt mean they aren't fast. The new camaros push like 323hp out of the V6 and my V8 is probably somewhere I'm the 200 hundreds ..... I hope :p. My stock engine was only rated for 195 (which isn't In) again you can make anything fast ! But I like the sound and feel of a V8 but I don't think it's very productive or logical but still wouldn't give it up. 4 bangers are where its at for fuel and family cars not race car ;)

Had to start displacement war. Like I said I love my car, im impressed by its performance(not really in a straight line though) but it has plenty of go for me. And thats with 0 cylinders and only 1.3l displacement haha. So I had to backup smaller motors and their performance.

Now would be the time to work on those numbers Runitis! No reason you couldn't be over 300 yourself, cheap!

lol, that's cool. Sooo many things to consider. One of my motors may make
twice as much power as one of yours, but on a road course for example, you'd probably be twice as fast as me,
depending on which car I bring :)

With all do respect Zoo, why would you even invest in something only to compare it to a stock GT? So you're faster than a stock Mustang, yippee...

I was using it as a starting point. Take your run of the mill $5000 used GT Mustang, add anothr $5000 to it in parts. Now take your run of the mill V6 of the same year for $3000. Have $2000 EXTRA already in your pocket from purchase price. Now add the same $5000 plus your $2000 saved. Both cars have $10K into them out of the owners pockets. If done right, the V6 will be faster for the same amount spent.

At it's peak, my V6 Mustang was a 600hp (flywheel) supercharged open track / road course car. Made it for less than I could have done that same hp in a V8.
Of course, don't think I'm one sided. I also have a supercharged V8 track car, too.
I can see it from both sides.

Me neither really but I've always liked Supras and this one looks better than the Lexus LFA.

Lol, it's hard for me to comment on Mustangs, I don't have much experience with them, but what about costs associated with bringing the car itself up to handling more power? With GM muscle cars, if you choose the V8, you get stiffer springs/suspension, a stronger rear axl, a much much stronger transmission, even more bracing in some areas, That alone is worth more to me than a couple thousand. Heck, the radiator and cooling alone is probably 5-6 hundred dollars in upgrades from a 6 cylinder, on a GM.

Love some slight design hints relate that supra to past ones. Love the back 3/4 but the front would get changed anyway because it doesnt go with the rest of the toyota and lexus line

Point taken, I agree. Im just saying don't holler Muscle car, if you forgot the muscle. Nothing wrong with just a Camaro or just a Mustang.

Hondas are for teenagers who think loud = fast and cool. They're really just paydays for real car guys. They're almost as fun as taking money from rich guys who think they can buy car credibility.

Agreed, I am not a Honda fan. I prefer vw, audi, BMW. And yes 99.9% of 4cylinder built cars have a coffee can muffler with the cat gutted. But you get those that build them light, awd and nimble and they are very competitive. power to weight ratio. It's what wins races.
