I do not work at a LFS but have seen some funny things! In petsmart I witnessed a group of young adults that walked over into the fish section like "you know what lets get a REAL shark!" And trying to be all bad and cool. My buddy that works there sends them home with a redtail shark!

On the topic of saying Cichlids weird, I once heard someone call them "ch-itch-ill-ids". Chitchillids from Cichlids? REALLY?!
