Maybe redo thread and do by state!?

I'd like to know some LOCAL fish stores NEAR me!

Searching by state abbreviations or cities is a time wasting inefficient process

The only LFS ive been to ( minus petsmart) was Tropic Isle, Framingham MA, 4 Pierce St
Used to be an A-plus shop. In recent years:
Clueless employees; sales has gone to commission; zero legitimate quarantine; BtB sales are about 25% deadstock.

Caveat... Some of the above is from personal knowedge, and some from reliable 3rdparty sources.

Pet Warehouse, Jacksonville, NC
lots of good fresh water selection, slim but good salt water, and 9 out of 10 times they can order what you are looking for.

Fish Cave, Jacksonville, NC
website ~ fishcave.com
Lots of good stuff and great deals on full tank set ups to 125 gallons

I get most my fish through Glen at Family Pets.
122nd and Halsey
Portland Oregon.

It's not for everyone he is a turnaround store, all the fish come in and go out ASAP.
He does not like to hold fish, most of the fish he has are "bread makers" if you want the special odd balls, he'll order it for you.

I must admit, I don't do much purchasing but I browse a lot when it comes to looking for rare exoctics.

Wet Spot, Parent company Cichlid Exchange.
Great wide variety of all Freshwater fish and plants, this is the store if you got $$$.

Time to Time I stop at Kaye to say hi and see what he's got from trade ins.
Kaye is around 130th and Division in Portland Oregon.

If these 3 stores don't have what I want, I come to MFK to wish I could have them....
MFK is the best resource!
