What's stopping you?
I understand what you mean, but do whatever you want! Don't let any 'disability' slow you down.

lol, thats easier said than done. it makes me chuckle when people say stuff like that because most of the time they have no clue what its actually like (i dont know if you do or dont before defences go up).
its hard to not be slowed down by heavy duty pain meds, a walking stick and shattered metatarsals with metal running through it supporting the chewed up bone from multiple surgery to correct 2 bones. even with the pain meds and walking aids, walking more than 30 yards produces great pain, im only 25 btw so still approx 50yrs of this to go. and i picked life isnt always fair, because sometimes you just get screwed over no matter what choice you make.

sorry to hear this..and too me...this in life is not fair... but you cannot give in to it... you must keep on.... keep on... because eventually the therapy will work and you will get your life back.. maybe even a few months from now you can look back and see the difference... wish you the best...

Some of us do have disabilities, and can't do the things we wish we could! (I mean being able to go out and party, and have a boyfriend!) Those are the main things I miss! :(

unfortunately the therapy wont work because my first surgeon done a load of damage as he would make a bad butcher never mind a bad surgeon. the ops there after are to repair the damage he done, they did a good job with what was effectivelly a mangled mass of metal, bone and scar tissue but they can only do so much.
at first it hit me bad, i mean my thinking was my life was over by being officially disabled at 24. you think your indestructible when your young then it suddenly comes to a halt.
its been 6 years in may 09 so i know its permanent. i cant be an engineer anymore so im training to become one of the few managers in the uk that is actually qualified to manage a business by holding a management certificate recognised throughout the world with the chartered management institute.

I think llife is fair because we are ALL presented with challenges and problems in our lives that we wish we didnt have to face and we think are "unfair". Because of that, in a round about way, I think that is indeed fair!

Take me for instance, I HAVE to put up with all the problems I face because of how beautiful I am and that isnt fair because jcardona doesnt have that problem. His problem is actually the opposite, he is so ugly he has to face problems himself. But I guess since we both have unfair problems, doesnt it mean that its fair? I mean who can be ugly and beautiful at the same time?

I don't personally, but I do know when my grandfather had very bad pancreatic cancer, even though he had a tube draining fluids from his chest and could barely walk, he still went and did. He was supposed to go on a golfing trip two days after he died. He never gave up. This went on for five years or more.

And I did know a 'little' person, she had several surgeries on her legs and back, but still managed to get out and do things. And she had an attitude! If someone gawked at her she say something smar -tahssed to them.
She actually found a husband on an online dating site just for people like her.

now back to the subject of the fairness of life.

So in real life, there could be a chance for me to find true-love!

seeing is so different from being there in that situation.
its different when you know or think the end isnt far off. thats a whole different ball game, far from the feelings of a disabled person. i know because i thought the end was for me at one point so i went and just did things, im in the forces so you get why i might have thought that. now i get the other perspective of having to live like this for the rest of my life.

Between us, we'll beat our problems! Maybe not all, but we can try!

life is poop, i played a game of monopoly for almost 2 hours and my internet connection failed...how unfair can you get! lol
