in terms of material things and physical capabilities..... NO life is not fair..... but we should not judge this life upon those critera..... We each live upon a different scale of contentment...... to me life is more than fair because i decide how the the world impacts me.... that is freedom.... true FREEDOM.... my physical is weak... heart is strong because my mind is free........

unfortunately the therapy wont work because my first surgeon done a load of damage as he would make a bad butcher never mind a bad surgeon. the ops there after are to repair the damage he done, they did a good job with what was effectivelly a mangled mass of metal, bone and scar tissue but they can only do so much.
at first it hit me bad, i mean my thinking was my life was over by being officially disabled at 24. you think your indestructible when your young then it suddenly comes to a halt.
its been 6 years in may 09 so i know its permanent. i cant be an engineer anymore so im training to become one of the few managers in the uk that is actually qualified to manage a business by holding a management certificate recognised throughout the world with the chartered management institute.

i hope things turn right side up for you now... and i am glad to hear you have set goals for yourself... and be occupied with them... i think it is very important for you to look ahead... i hope that the pain becomes manageable and maybe even completely free of it... your in my prayers...

Life isn't fair. Plain and simple. But what in this world really is fair? Nothin.

life isnt fair, true...but i guess the decisions we make will determine how it all turns out for us. i spent a long time trying to please my family, giving up things that i've wanted for a long time...sacrificing etc. well that time is long gone and im much happier now. so life is fair sometimes, i guess. cant have it all..but you can try

I am one of the "life is very fair" group. I am not the judge fairness, but I know who is. Everything "bad" in my life is a test. Everything "good" is a gift. Some people (dawn & cichlid2006) get tested more and their success is a testament to their faith and/or strength.

In poker before the cards are delt, the game is very fair. After the cards are delt the game is fair, but some have better odds of success. You can't even complain to the "dealer" since they are also operating in a very fair manner. You can claim your hand sucks, but not that it was somehow unfair.

Fair? No...but was it ever meant to be? Think about primitive times, survival of the fittest. Its not supposed to be fair, its the strong on top.

Everyone should have an open mind IMO, as i'm sure we all say "its not fair" at some point in our lives. I dunno, maybe you have to realize what others don't have. Maybe those in third world countries are saying the same thing about us. When its not their fault they were born into that, it just happened.
