List of best tasting freshwater fish

in that case, for me, hands down, from what i've had, it's perch. right up there is the cheek pouch from a walleye, but walleye aren't as good on the whole as perch (Perca flavescens).
 
panfish wise, crappie, and blue gills are great., also walleye!

pike is real good too, white and firm!

also depends on the fish where they lived in, the water and food they've been eating, makes a big difference.

farm raised trouts are mediocre at best, but wild ones are great, but not really environmentally friendly sometimes!
 
ctafish are the same. around here lots of deep resoviors so the water styays relatively cool in the deeper parts.

I live on the shores of Lake Michigan. And have my own boat. All the salmon and trout are very tasty. But say away from the brown trout. They are very greasy.
 
walley perch crappie trout all very good. tried bass and did not like.
