yeah ive noticed it a lot too. find myself spending more time on other forums, but theyre never as active as this one
 
might be the case, but it's our job to help develop their posting & thinking rather than falling for their nonsense & getting worked up..

I agree, It's not the little kids that work me up... Its the "adults" telling them a 1000g plastic tub for 200$ can support a baby rtc for life... when their budget is 150$. :screwy:


It's the members that should know better that really get me :irked:


although it doesn't really piss me off, i just wish it wasn't so.. I enjoy mfk, but I always remember its an internet forum. If you get emotionally attached your spending to much time...

maybe its time for a new forum..

I as well, I am only 18. I just think supporting childish dreams with no sense behind them is a little ridiculous. I just think some people need to realize there is more than just buying a plastic 1200g tub for 100$. It costs a lot of money, time, and dedication to run such a great volume of water. Not to mention, so many questions that can simply be answered by google, are made into threads over and over again. I know this is going to happen, but i feel the volume has rose about 80% in the last month!
 
while i understand you guys being irritated annoyed with it but then again theres alotta people that will just attack some1 if they messed up or w.e while yes you are right but attacking some 1 wont help their fish but probably drive them away from the site
 
and some people stick too much to the big guidelines which while yes an rtc needs huge amounts of space while an oscar does not need 55 g.s per fish not all will exhibit aggressivness and there can be other means of distributing the aggression just my opinion plz dont attack lol - d=^)
 
My biggest concern with younger people on here comes when I need good solid advice. Now, I dont doubt that a lot of the younger people here (under the age of 18-19) know their stuff when it comes to fish, but when I need advice in regards to the thousands of dollars in livestock and equipment I own Id like to know the information is coming from someone with lots of experience.

I wouldn't let a 17 year old work on my car, operate on my body or handle my finances and I feel the same for my hobbys. Again, I'm not claiming that the young people on this forum are stupid or that they aren't knowledgeable, but I've read some poor advice and seen some poor decisions made by people that in a few years would never think of doing.

I came here for guidance, ideas, support and knowledge and personally I feel a lot better when it comes from someone that's walked the walk.

Note: I do understand that age and experience are not always linked.
