Quiet people for giving out advice that goes "against sound information"? That'd defeat the whole point of having a discussion in a forum. It's up to the person who's seeking advice to choose who they believe and research to make sure what's being told is accurate.

Sometimes we're a lil too passionate and get worked up over what really amounts to nothing. I can't say i visit every section but for every bit of misinformation there seems to be 3-4 people giving correct information so i doubt "trolls" are as out of control as you guys are making them seem

If they choose to believe the wrong information despite multiple people telling them otherwise, what's the big deal? They'll eventually come along.

I guess i have a soft heart for the young, cause i am still only 18 and breaking the surface. I clearly remember being them, and only listening to what i wanted. If i would have found mfk earlier and done correct researching i would be in a better place than now. Not saying I don't enjoy where I am, just wish i knew sooner.

I guess i have true compassion for fish as well and their well being. Also in the midst of this, fish are being hurt, and suffering. Most say they are just fish, but I look at fish like my dog

Yeah, that's why i said sometimes we get a lil too passionate. I 100% understand but if you remember how you were a few years ago, you know a thread like this doesn't help anything. Just gave people a place to vent about the people you're trying to help out....the exact opposite of what you're actually trying to do right?

I am not really venting so to say. More so asking if I am alone and need to dismiss this opinion of mfk I have recently developed. I guess by this thread I am trying to ask that people don't support stupidity.

Younger members can't draw the line quite so easy so maybe other members need to understand that. Maybe even mods correcting instead of deleting would be great.

give everyone time...i was essentially a troll once...

we need to understant that when posting on an online forum, you can only give advise. what happens after that is out of your control and you should not get worked up/upset over it.

My biggest concern with younger people on here comes when I need good solid advice. Now, I dont doubt that a lot of the younger people here (under the age of 18-19) know their stuff when it comes to fish, but when I need advice in regards to the thousands of dollars in livestock and equipment I own Id like to know the information is coming from someone with lots of experience.

I wouldn't let a 17 year old work on my car, operate on my body or handle my finances and I feel the same for my hobbys. Again, I'm not claiming that the young people on this forum are stupid or that they aren't knowledgeable, but I've read some poor advice and seen some poor decisions made by people that in a few years would never think of doing.

I came here for guidance, ideas, support and knowledge and personally I feel a lot better when it comes from someone that's walked the walk.

Note: I do understand that age and experience are not always linked.

Whats this? sorry bud, Im only 17, and I own the largest tanks and best looking livestock, in my town.
Look I feel this thread , but dont put me in the same boat as these pain in the arse kids.

They seem to not want to listen to your advice even though you are trying to help them with their problem. And then they will sit there and fight you about it.

Kid: "i bot 5 goldfish and put dem n my new 10 gallon yesterday!!!! hurry!!! 4 r dead, help me!!!1!!11

Advice Giver: "Well you put to many dirty fish in too small a tank. Also you tank was not cycled. I suggest you read up on how to cycle a tank and start over after research more."

Kid: "but the walmartt emploee told me i coud put dem in da tank!!!1!!111 a tank is not a bicycle, your stuped!!! can some1 who is not stuped help me??1
