My red devil is very shy and not very aggresive. I was wondering if red devils usually do this when young and just snap into aggressiveness when they get bigger.

at least your devil is out! mine hides in a rock all day.

Im in the same boat. Mine is a sissy, runs from any kind of human movement. Im considering taking all tank decor out and hoping he mans up. However he will probably just hide behind the power head

Yeah it's only a baby. Wait until it matures at about 6-7".

Thats why i dont have any decorations in my tank when I come to the tank he swims to the corner, until I coax him with food or stay by the tank without making any movement.

um certain fish are like that dont take out ur cover cuz itll just mess them up even more and make them skittish best thing u can do is spend time infront of ur tank then ur fish are less afraid of ppl srsly it works give it a try
