Exactly...In the wild where there is millions of gallons of water, and is not as toxic to the fish as our aquariums. Because pet stores keep tons of those feeder fishes in one small tank, disease is bound to spread around. Lets say I shove 300 people in one room, give it time someone will get sick then someone else, until majority of everyone is sick.

I feed my red devil minnows from the creek, so they should be alright then, right. I only feed them to him as an occasional treat, though.

my midas was a huge puss till he got about 7 in, and even then he isnt living up to his agressive reputation. just yesterday i saw my 9 in severum mock charge him and he about jumped out of the tank....the same severum tried to charge my 14 in managuense a little later so...maybe hes just stupid..

My red devil is finally starting to come out more and he tries to fight himself by flaring at the glass and biting right next to it. I don't know if he is tring to fight his reflection or the glass.

Thanks, he is really starting to get more color on his fins, they are starting to fade to white on the tips of his fins. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow

What would u say the average growth rate of a red devil is.

I do water changes every other day. Does this really help the fish grow better?
