he is cutie.... love to see the babies

hey..you got a cute lil RD there. One advice bro...Please dont move him frequently. He gets really stressed and he wont accept the food. He takes time to settle down.

BTW,what is the capacity of his tank & What are you feeding him??

Get him something so he can hide in it, they like to hide and establish a territory. He is in shock if he doesn't hide. Not good on a fish. And yes he will be very aggressive. That's why they call them "Red Devils".

Not to bash or anything, but what size tank is that? It looks jam packed, when that RD grows up to 10-11 inches it's going to get nasty in that tank, going to be some major fighting between your Oscars and RD. Not to mention the nitrate ppm must be high, and you risk your Oscars getting "Hole In The Head" disease.

Mine was not shy or overly aggressive except with an equal size FH.

The tank is a grow out 29 gallon tank, I have a 55 gallon waiting for him when he gets bigger. I do not have the oscars anymore because I could not stand to see them cramped in the 55 anymore, so I gave them to someone with a bigger tank. I feed him bloodworms, and two different kind of cichlid pellets.

One question, why are feeder fish so bad for fish I mean they eat them in the wild and seem to survive quite well.

Exactly...In the wild where there is millions of gallons of water, and is not as toxic to the fish as our aquariums. Because pet stores keep tons of those feeder fishes in one small tank, disease is bound to spread around. Lets say I shove 300 people in one room, give it time someone will get sick then someone else, until majority of everyone is sick.
